Foul Play Suspected. Singular Persistence Of A Dead Man's Friends. A Body Disentombed. Willacoochee, March 12. Allen Summerlin, who died near Pearson last Monday night of acute peritonitis, requested that the attending physicians should make a post mortem examination, but owing to objections by his family the post mortem was omitted. Afterward his friends became dissatisfied and to-day had the coroner summon a jury and take up his body. Drs. Julian and Wilcox made the post mortem, which proved beyond a doubt to the physicians that he died from natural causes, and the coroner's jury brought in a verdict to that effect, but all this did not satisfy Mr. Summerlin's friends, and they requested the physicians to take out the stomach and submit it to a chemical test, which they did, and sent it to the State Chemist to have it analyzed. The opinion of the public generally is that Mr. Summerlin died from natural causes and that no foul play was shown.- Morning News.
