Obituary Mary Hale was born in Marion Co., TN 1823, After an illness of ten days died at the residence of her son-in-law,John Brewer, Crane Pond,Saturday, March 24, 1888, aged 65 years. Deceased was the oldest daughter of George Lewis who died in 1858. Having lost her husband Jas.Hale, about the year 1862, she removed with her children, 8 in number, to Iron County, MO, 1873, where she lived until the evening of the 24th when it pleased kind Providence to call her for earth away. Many sorrowing relatives and friends followed her to the family burying ground, near Sabula, where she was quietly laid to final rest beside her sleeping father.
The mother of 11 children, 6 of whom survive her, she was always an active Christian worker, leading a quiet and useful life. Although we deeply feel the loss yet we will not grieve, knowing that our loss is her great gain. We will , therefore, bow in submission to the will of Him who does nothing wrong. The bereaved children and friends have the sympathy of the whole community in this sad, sad, hour.

Albany Herald - 11/7/1966 Claude William Limbaugh, 65, and his wife, Mrs. Luna Casey Limbaugh, 68, of 322 N. Central St., were killed and several persons injured in a three-car collision on Newton Road yesterday morning, County Police Lt. R.L. Carter reported. The lawman said the injured included a 16-year-old girl, the driver of a 1966 sedan which ran headon into the Limbaugh car, who received lacerations of the right knee and a broken left foot. He said two younger brothers of the girl were examined at Phoebe Putney Hospital for minor injuries and dismissed. The lawman said a 1955 model station wagon driven by Burnice Wright, Negro, Rt. 2 Box 391 was traveling north on Newton Road, slowed for a left turn, and the 1966 model sedan, driven by the juvenile, whose name cannot be published under Georgia juvenile laws, swerved to avoid hitting the station wagon and crashed headon into the 1965 model car driven by Mr. Limbaugh. Carter said the '66 model struck the rear fender of the station wagon causing an estimated $300 damage. He estimated damage to the Limbaugh car at $2,500 and damage to the car driven by the juvenile at $5,000. The lawman said the juvenile would be charged with failure to yield the right of way and Burnice Wright would be charged with driving without a license. Mr. Limbaugh was a retired City employe, and Mrs. Limbaugh was retired from employment with Bob's Candy Company of Albany. Mr. and Mrs. Limbaugh are survived by a son, Marvin Limbaugh of Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Limbaugh's survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Quilla Mae Corbett of Albany and Mrs. C.C. Veasey of Sylvester, and two brothers, Nathan Driskell of macon and Autus Driskell of Reidsville, Ga. Mrs. Limbaugh is survived by six sisters, Mrs. S.N. Erwin and Mrs. Sam Townsend, both of Rome, Mrs. Sanford Scott and Mrs. Melvin Cromer, both of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Marjorie Mayo of miami, Fla., Mrs. Eula Eilson of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Mary Handley of Savannah; three brothers, Sherman Casey and Robert Casey, both of Plant City, Fla., and James L. Casey of Conneaut, Ohio. The son is due to arrive in Albany Tuesday. funeral arrangements will be completed at that time and will be announced by Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.

Quilla Mae Limbaugh Corbett - passed away 10/4/1967 Mrs. Quilla Mae Corbett of 1126 Whitney Ave. died Wednesday night at Georgia Care Rest Home in Sylvester. She was a native of Winchester, Tenn., born June 14, 1897, daughter of the late Isaac Limbaugh and Ella Hinson Limbaugh. She had lived in Albany for 41 years and was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A.A. Thursby of Albany and Mrs. Joe Griffin of Atlanta; four sons, A.C. Corbett of Albany, Charles William Corbett of Mobile, Al., Wesley Corbett of Albany, and James Corbett of Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. C.C. Veasey of Sylvester; two half brothers, Nathan Driskell of Macon and Autus Driskell of Reidsville; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Oaklawn Chapel with the Rev. Carl Plymel, pastor of Pretoria Church of God, officiating. Internment will be announced by Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Directors.
