Minnie Atris Corbitt (1882 – 1956) |
|
I remember granny Minnie Corbitt coming to visit with us when we lived in Waycross. We lived on Lewis Street and she was at our house for about two weeks in the summer of 1955. She was so full of stories about her childhood and how you would get your fanny tore up if you didn’t behave in her daddy’s home. She was very outspoken and was very friendly. I don’t think there was a neighbor that did not know her by the time she left. She had an answer for everything and remedy for all. She was always kind to all of us and we love and miss her very much. submitted by Lanette Thornton
